MOSQUES UNDER THE ARCHIEVES DEPARTMENT,
THEIR MANAGEMENT AND RELATED PROBLEMS

There are thousands of mosques all over India that are managed by the Archives and Muslims can not offer prayer there. Besides non Muslim staff deputed to look after them has failed in preserving the sanctity of these religious places probably for want of knowledge of the formalities required to be observed for preserving such sanctity.They do not know as to how one should enter a mosque and what one should do and whatone should notdothere.A.I.O.I.M., therefore, presentthefollowing demands to the government.

All mosques managed by the archives should be handed over to Muslims.

The mosque should be properly cleaned and necessary permission be immediately be granted for repairing such mosques and offering

COURSE OF ACTION

A.I.O.I.M., shall ensure that Friday prayer are offered in such mosques and the Imams of such mosques where Friday prayers are not offered, lead these prayers.

Central and Provincial branches of the organisation shall identify such mosques, have laison with the authorities and extend every possible assistance to the authorities with management and maintenance of such mosques.

The organisation shall also take up@ the tnatter with the government regarding participation of the organization in the management of such mosques.
